We all have heard of work from home but have we hear about the term work for home. Yeah, that’s what a stay at home wives do. They do everything for their home without any payment and still, get this question from everyone that ‘’what do you all day?’’. I believe that’s the cruel side of our society that they can’t live and let others live. Sometimes it becomes impossible to answer this question. Words become short to express the feelings of what we went through all day and why we decided to choose to stay at our home. I also choose to stay at home like a lot of other women because of several reasons but before rushing into this option first think about why you want to choose it.

Why we choose to stay at home

Quitting your job or leaving your career is a big decision and one shouldn’t take it in any hustle. You need to be aware of all pros and cons before taking such a big step. Ask yourself such questions as what will be our financial condition if I don’t work? What is more important to me; my career or family? Am I choosing this without any pressure from the family? Talk to your partner before jumping into this for a clear perspective. You might regret it later if you don’t have clarity at this initial stage. Of course, this decision will cause a drastic change in your lifestyle and daily routine and, your budget but if you feel happy at the end of the day it is worth it then. So, let’s discuss some benefits of a stay at home wife:

Benefits of stay at home wife

There could be so many benefits of staying at home once you start enjoying your time but here I am only sharing the major ones.

Mental health

Well if I talked about myself staying at home gives me time to heal from anxiety and stress. Your mental health is very important. Staying at home gives you time to start your morning peacefully without any hustle and bustle. I think about myself, absorb positive energy, and feeling gratitude towards what I have while grabbing my cup of coffee. This gives me such peace of mind that I can’t explain. Also staying at home makes me away from all the job politics, workload stress, and anxiety about getting promotions and increment on paycheck figures.

Quality time with your loved ones

One of the biggest benefits I see is getting some quality time to spend with your loved ones. Moms get so much time to be there around there kids, having an eye on their activities, talking to them about their problems to helping them out in their studies, it gives so much pleasure to a mother to see their kids happy and content in their lives and sharing their experiences with her. Also, wives get some quality time to be there with husbands after they come home, to sit and have a cup of tea with them, talking about what they do all day, to sharing some exciting news, you get some peaceful quality time to have with each other.

Managing household chores

Staying at home gives you so much time to do your household chores properly. Nobody likes to work at home after coming back from a hectic day at work. Everybody wants food on the plate but that can’t be possible if there is nobody at home to cook. If you stay at home you can put the mess around the house into its place. You can cook food on time, keep your cupboard sorted, doing laundry, cleaning the home, and so on. Wait! But that doesn’t mean you have to do it all alone. If you have a loving and supporting partner you can have full help. I cook on the weekdays and he does at the weekends. If I do the laundry he puts the clothes in the cupboard. This way we both share the load.

Staying at home gives you so much time to do things or to do nothing. Yes! You heard it right ‘’to do nothing’’. There are higher chances for you to become a lazy bump. When you see you have an ample amount of time you start leaving things on the other day. Also because the same routine makes you bored and tired. Staying at home doesn’t mean only having your relationship with your bed, binge-watching on Netflix, or being on the phone all day, or having hangouts and kitty parties every other day because you are bored. It’s a life to live. There are quite plenty of things you can do to enjoy this, like

  • go out for walks
  • go to the gym
  • video call your family
  • do gardening if you like
  • try out new recipes
  • decor your house
  • do DIY of the things you want
  • dress up yourself and go out in your free time
  • arrange a romantic date for your partner
  • do shopping
  • learn a skill

And the list will go on and on. So, ladies don’t be afraid of the criticism of your family and friends if they think you are not doing enough or if people think managing your house is not a job. Trust me you are doing too much. What’s important is you and your choices so just live by your choices.
